STEM Egg Drop Challenge
USC Year 10 students in STEM took part in an Egg Drop Challenge. The challenge saw students using limited resources and budgets to research, design, prototype, test and evaluate a mechanism to safely drop an egg from two stories. The formative task was the students first introduction into the Engineering Design Process.
Year 10 Mentoring
Year 10 Mentor, Olivia, shared helpful advice during a recent mentoring session, about resume preparation, writing cover letters and preparing for interviews. Students created or updated their resumes and practised answering interview questions.
Year 10 Design
USC Year 10 Design students were given a design brief to create a promotional poster using the Redhead match logo. They explored new skills working with gouache paint on illustration board and students had freedom to select their own style.
AMC Mathematics Competition 2022

A group of enthusiastic USC students took part in the 2022 Australian Maths Trust, Australian Mathematics Competition.

USC Year 10 Science class have built models of the structure of DNA as they delve into the world of DNA, genetics and heredity. Individual DNA molecules from each student was connected together just like the polymer of DNA in real life

Using practical experience, they learned more about the different types of chemical reactions that happen around them every day. The understanding of acids and bases in the topic of acid rain links with the chemistry of materials and biological chemistry.

Alice in Wonderland
University Senior College Year 10 students spent ten weeks in creative pursuits across all of the Arts disciplines in preparation for their production of Alice in Wonderland. This classic favourite was adapted and reimagined for a modern audience by student, Ember McBryde, who also performed as Alice 1.
Justice Artist Residency 2021 Launch

On Tuesday 19 October the Justice Artist in Residency Project was launched in Francis Street Laneway, Adelaide. The Exhibition was opened by the Deputy Lord Mayor, Mary Couros in front of USC Year 10 students (involved in the project), Dr Daniel Connell, Artist, representatives from the Adelaide City Council, Lynne Moten, Service Learning Consultant, Anita Zocchi, Principal, staff and parents.
