Alice in Wonderland

University Senior College Year 10 students spent ten weeks in creative pursuits across all of the Arts disciplines in preparation for their production of Alice in Wonderland. This classic favourite was adapted and reimagined for a modern audience by student, Ember McBryde, who also performed as Alice 1.

Creative Arts allows the students to celebrate and explore their own interests, and lead their own creative practice. Students have explored characterisation and physicality in performance, arranged music that was performed as part of the program, created choreography and worked in roles of design and construction to make the sets, props and costumes that were visually stunning. Some students took roles in publicity and marketing, creating the posters, photography, programs and social media postings. Facilitated by the Creative Arts team, Lexi, Libby, Suzanne and Lynn, the performance was a triumph for all students, showing the power of creative collaboration to achieve great things. Thank you to students, Jamie and Romanie for these photos.
