International Students
Your time at University Senior College as an international student will challenge you academically, and connect you with our community. Learn in a new city, and experience the wonderful life of living in Adelaide.
You will be supported in developing your English language - a requirement for your study – through our Intensive English program specifically designed to prepare international students for entry into Year 11 and Year 12. These English classes are kept small ensuring students receive personal support and care, guaranteeing individual attention. (IELTS requirements are 5.0 for a full Year 11 course and 5.5 for one 1 semester of Year 11).
Once you have started your Intensive English course, you must study according to your letter of offer. The four steps to achieving academic success are:
- Intensive English study
- Stage 1 (Year 11) of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Entry to USC is at Year 11 level, we do not offer direct entry into Year 12.
- Stage 2 (Year 12) of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)
- Onto your chosen pathway in University!
As you study at University Senior College, we will provide you and your parents with regular feedback about academic progress. Detailed written reports are sent regularly and parents are welcome to contact the Dean of International Program.
“Although we international students all initially started out as strangers from different parts of the world, being unfamiliar with our new surroundings, our shared journey at USC has brought our hearts closer and helped us build valuable friendships.” Nikki, Year 12 International Student
