University Senior College Stage 2 Economics students had the incredible opportunity to attend the AmCham 'Recession or Depression' Breakfast at The Playford Hotel Ballroom.

On Wednesday 15 May University Senior College, Economics Teachers Michael Jacobsen and Chiao Wang attended a the Budget Breakfast hosted by University of Adelaide School of Economics and Public Policy (SEPP).

Reserve Bank of Australia Presentation
Reserve Bank of Australia Economic Analysis Department Senior representatives Jonathan Kemp (Adelaide Office) and Marion Kohler (Sydney Office) gave a presentation to approximately 150 Year 12 Economics students and teachers from 12 South Australian schools about the functions and roles of the RBA and presented a summary of the key points of the recent May 2024 RBA Statement of Monetary Policy. Following the presentation there was a great Q&A session where students could ask their questions and receive answers from highly qualifies and experienced RBA Economists. The event was held in the Scott Theatre of The University of Adelaide.
Year 10 Business and Economics
University Senior College Year 10 Business and Economics students developed social enterprises to address some of the UN Sustainable Development issues.
SACES Economics Briefing Luncheon 2023
On Monday 24th July a small group Economics students and teachers attended an Economics Briefing and Luncheon hosted by the South Australian Centre for Economics Studies. The event was held in ‘The Ballroom’ of the Intercontinental Hotel on North Terrace with Economists from the many Corporate Member organisations in attendance to be briefed by Executive Director Jim Hancock on the current economic conditions in South Australia, Australia and Internationally.
Economics Teachers Society - Reserve Bank Evening
University Senior College Economics students attended the Reserve Bank Evening put on by the Economics Teachers Society. It was held at Prince Alfred College, and it was a wonderful opportunity to hear from the Reserve Bank presenters.

University Senior College, Year 11 Economics teacher, Michael Jacobsen, on Friday 4th March was very fortunate to attend the South Australian Centre for Economic Studies and The University of Adelaide ‘March 2022 Corporate Members Luncheon and Briefing’.
