South Australian Centre for Economic Studies Luncheon and Briefing

University Senior College, Year 11 Economics teacher, Michael Jacobsen, on Friday 4^th March was very fortunate to attend the South Australian Centre for Economic Studies and The University of Adelaide ‘March 2022 Corporate Members Luncheon and Briefing’. Twice a year Economists attend such events, from the education, public and private sectors, Members of Parliament, The University of Adelaide representatives and ‘The Team’ from SACES.

The Keynote Speaker was Mr Malcolm Turnbull AC (and his wife Lucy Turnbull) were welcomed and introduced by Executive Director Michael O’Neill and Professor Peter Hoj AC, President and Vice Chancellor of The University of Adelaide. Mrs Turnbull answered questions about Women in STEM, Start-Ups, and the importance of their increased economic participation in the economy. It was a fascinating and prolonged Q&A session with them both.
