USC Economics Students Gain Real-World Insights

Our Year 11 and 12 Economics students had the incredible opportunity to attend the Commonwealth Treasury Economics Student Event, hosted by the Economics Teachers' Society of South Australia (ETSSA) at, Pembroke School.

Hearing directly from expert economists Damien White, Nicole Sermeno, Eleanor Boxall, and Ashleigh Chang from the Department of Treasury, our students gained invaluable insights into fiscal policy, taxation and commonwealth finances. This event provided a real-world perspective on how economic policy is shaped at the highest level and offered inspiration for future career pathways in economics.

A huge thank you to Pembroke School, ETSSA, and the Department of Treasury for making this event possible. Special appreciation to our very own Michael Jacobsen (ETSSA President) for his contributions in bringing this opportunity to students across South Australia.

Events like these bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, showing our students the power of economic thinking in shaping society. 💼📈
