Year 12 One on One Meetings
Sasha Champion from the domestic recruitment team of The University of Adelaide is meeting on a one-on-one basis this term to support our Year 12 students with degree selection, SATAC preferences and their university application process for 2023.
USCOSA Year 12 Mentoring Session
University Senior College Old Scholars joined in on a Year 12 Mentoring session to provide our students with tips on exam preparation, time management and points on how to prepare for University. This is another great way University Senior College is preparing their students to be ready for University.
The Governor’s Civics Awards for Schools
The Governor’s Civics Awards for Schools helps to develop student awareness and skills as active and informed citizens in a democratic society.
USC Student's attend Lowitja O'Donoghue Oration
USC Year 11 and 12 Students, Anika, Qezia, Tabitha, Anjali and Azul attended the Lowitja O'Donoghue Oration on Tuesday 31st May. This year’s oration entitled; ‘The Way Forward – Informed by the past’ was delivered by the new Minister for Indigenous Australians, Hon Linda Burney. The Oration honours the influential Aboriginal leader, Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue AC CBE DSG and gives voice to vital issues for our nation’s first people.

Congratulations to Georgia McLeod, Year 12 student at University Senior College, on her recent success in gaining an interview with Rory Moore, President and CEO of Arctic Canadian Diamond Mines, for her Earth and Environmental Science topic, 'Earth’s Resources.'

Climate Crisis and the Arts
Over the March long weekend University Senior College Year 12 student, Amber Brock-Fabel was a guest speaker in the opening address of the Adelaide Festival’s inaugural Climate Crisis and the Arts. In addition to this, Amber was on a panel at WOMAD Planet Talks, Meet the Change Makers, looking at ways to reimagine our relationship to the planet.
USC Music Performance
On May 5th, USC presented its first 2022 Stage 2 Music Performance Night. The night was broken into two halves, with contemporary pieces staged in our new Raw Space @ USC and culminating in classical performance in The University of Adelaide’s Elder Hall.

Earth and Environmental Science in the Science Olympiad
University Senior College Year 12 student, Samantha Vallance, who achieved a High Distinction in Earth and Environmental Science in the Science Olympiad in 2021 attended the Earth and Environmental Science Olympiad Summer School in January 2022. Samantha has completed Stage 1 competition and Stage 2 was the attendance in the Australian Science Olympiads Summer School.
