Mentoring Pancake Day
USC students enjoyed pancakes cooked by USC staff after their Mentoring session to celebrate Pancake Day. It was a great way to connect to students across Year 10,11 and 12.

Merit Lunch 2024
University Senior College welcomed back on Friday 16 February their 2023 Merit winners and Headstart High Distinction achievers for a congratulatory lunch and photo for those who were able to attend. We wish them all the very best as they transition into their chosen pathways and look forward to staying connected as USC Old Scholars.
UCAT
Sarthak Mehta (‘20) USC Old Scholar, who is currently studying fourth year Medicine spoke to our Year 11 and 12 students at a lunch time session sharing what he learned from his UCAT experience in 2020. The students appreciated hearing from Sarthak as they prepare for the UCAT.
Dux Presentation 2024
Congratulations to our Dux, Haein (Helen) Park. Anita Zocchi, Principal presented Haein (Helen) with her Dux award at this year’s first assembly.
USC Charter
Each year, our USC students are encouraged to think about how their school should be. The Charter asks them to consider, discuss and agree upon the approaches they can take to ensure that they are 'ready for university and beyond'.
USC Parent Welcome Drinks 2024
Parent Welcome Drinks was a great way to end O Week at University Senior College. It was a wonderful night of food, music, and a great chance to meet staff in an informal setting on the Johnson Lawns.
Mentoring at USC
Mentoring at USC is where each student is assigned a mentor, who will keep in touch regarding their overall wellbeing and academic progress. Here is Tom’s first mentor session with his new Year 11 and 12 Mentor group. They started off with a coffee session at The University of Adelaide’s Hub Central.
Welcome 2024
It was a great start to 2024 at USC last week for our students at USC O Week.
Year 11 Chemistry
University Senior College Year 11 Chemistry students investigating the reducing ability of the sugar glucose that is present in Chupa Chups to reveal the different coloured oxidation states of manganese. Agitation and the creation of a vortex is a necessary component of the experiment to allow the chemical reactants to collide with sufficient energy.
