Burger Day
USC students enjoyed a burger for lunch which was cooked by the Deans after their Mentoring session. They all enjoyed catching up with others from across all year levels on the Johnson Lawns behind USC’s Jordan Building.
USCOSA Mentoring Session
USC Old Scholars returned for a mentoring session for Year 11 students to offer their insights on the topic ‘Planning for major assessments and Semester Exams’. Our students value enormously listening to the wisdom our Old Scholars share with them about what they learned from their USC experience and then transitioning into university life. Each year we have approximately thirty Old Scholars who return to be involved in Mentoring sessions throughout the year.
USC STEM Community Connections and Partnerships
As part of USC STEM Community Connections and Partnerships with The University of Adelaide, we arrange tours of various departments and invite professors in the STEM field to give talks tailored for USC needs.

Mentoring Pancake Day
USC students enjoyed pancakes cooked by USC staff after their Mentoring session to celebrate Pancake Day. It was a great way to connect to students across Year 10,11 and 12.
Meet the Mentor Night
USC Year 11 and 12 Meet the Mentor Night was a great night where parents/caregivers could meet and build a connection with their child’s Mentor for 2024
UCAT
Sarthak Mehta (‘20) USC Old Scholar, who is currently studying fourth year Medicine spoke to our Year 11 and 12 students at a lunch time session sharing what he learned from his UCAT experience in 2020. The students appreciated hearing from Sarthak as they prepare for the UCAT.
USC Charter
Each year, our USC students are encouraged to think about how their school should be. The Charter asks them to consider, discuss and agree upon the approaches they can take to ensure that they are 'ready for university and beyond'.
Mentoring at USC
Mentoring at USC is where each student is assigned a mentor, who will keep in touch regarding their overall wellbeing and academic progress. Here is Tom’s first mentor session with his new Year 11 and 12 Mentor group. They started off with a coffee session at The University of Adelaide’s Hub Central.

Scoffed Cooking School
University Senior College Year 10 students attended Scoffed Cooking School in their mentor groups to participate in a MasterChef-style cook off. Students from Elly Pfitzner’s mentor group cooked some delicious Pad Thai with banana fritters for dessert.
