USC Charter

Students in class

Each year, our USC students are encouraged to think about how their school should be. The Charter asks them to consider, discuss and agree upon the approaches they can take to ensure that they are 'ready for university and beyond'. It also asks them to confirm which behaviours they will need to adopt, to become increasingly 'independent learners'. Finally, they are tasked to think of ways that they can be inclusive and welcome diversity in their interactions, every day at the College. These ideas are refined by each Mentor group in Term 1. Both students and staff can refer to the Charter if needed: it acts as a guide, confirms our shared values, and connects closely with our Graduate Attributes.
