Chloe has been selected to represent Australia at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Ohio, USA, in May 2025 as part of the Australian Science and Engineering Fair (AUSSEF) team.

ISEF is the world’s largest global science competition for high school students, bringing together the brightest young minds from over 75 countries to showcase groundbreaking research across 21 STEM disciplines.

Chloe is one of just 10 students from across Australia and New Zealand selected for the AUSSEF team based on their outstanding projects submitted to the Australian Science and Engineering Fair in November 2024. Her research explores how agar and glycerine concentrations affect the mechanical and physical properties of algal bioplastics, with the goal of making them more commercially viable.

Before heading to the USA, Chloe will present her project alongside fellow team members to students and experts at the AUSSEF Face-to-Face Event in Sydney later this month.

We are so proud of Chloe’s achievements and can’t wait to see her represent Australia on the global stage! 🎉👏
