Australian of the Year Luncheon 2023

On the Friday 16th of June at the Australian of the Year Luncheon, University Senior College students heard from Taryn Brumfitt who’s a filmmaker, bestselling author and sought-after keynote speaker, and Amar Singh who’s the Founder of Turbans 4 Australia and the Local Hero 2023 winner.

Taryn Brumfitt is the founder of the Body Image Movement and director of the inspiring documentaries EMBRACE and EMBRACE KIDS. Recently named Australian of the Year 2023, Taryn is a fiercely passionate advocate for social change and her message has reached more than 200 million people around the world.
