On the Friday 16 June at the Australian of the Year Luncheon, University Senior College students heard from Australian of the Year 2023, Taryn Brumfitt and Amar Singh who’s the Founder of Turbans 4 Australia and the Local Hero 2023 winner.
Our Town - Year 12 Drama Production 2023
This year’s Year 12 Drama Production, “Our Town” was another great success. Performed at the Little Theatre on the University campus.

Parliamentary tour with Member for Adelaide, Lucy Hood MP
University Senior College students were treated to a reception, presentation and parliamentary tour with Member for Adelaide, Lucy Hood MP. They engaged in debate, asked questions, and heard about the history of the institution. Everyone was very engaged and Lucy was impressed by the knowledge and passion of our students.

Year 11 Chemistry investigated cross-linking polymers
University Senior College Year 11 Chemistry students investigated the effect of a cross-linking agent on the physical properties of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Investigations of this nature are important as cross-linking polymers have many applications in medicine, new battery technology, and the generation of ‘green’ fuels such as hydrogen.

Week of Action
University Senior College Year 10s completed some career workshops during the Week of Action. They looked at allied health careers including occupational therapy and tested their ability to tie their shoelaces with their non-dominant hand. They also did some app programming to create a quick version of whack-a-mole.
