Congratulations to the USC 2022 Graduates

USC Year 12 Graduation Dinner
University Senior College Year 12 Graduation Dinner was held on Wednesday 7 December at the Adelaide Convention Centre for our Graduating Class of 2022 and their families.
Year 11 Drama - Roses of Eyam
USC Year 11 Drama performed Don Taylor’s Roses of Eyam in November. This play, about a village in Derbyshire which quarantined itself to stop the spread of the plague in 1666-67, held special resonance in 2022. The cast and designers worked hard for a striking, dramatic, and poignant result.
Student Citizenship Awards
University Senior College Year 12 student Amber Brock-Fabel was one of ten students from across the state to receive this award for celebrating and promoting outstanding Australian citizenship. 2022 Spring Poetry Anthology
Year 12 students Tahira Haque, Lorelei Owens and Mia Lamnek had their poems selected to appear in the 2022 Spring Poetry Anthology. The students have been invited to attend the launch of the Spring Poetry Festival at the University of South Australia and will be presented with their own copy.
Year 11 Chemistry
USC Year 11 Chemistry students are here observing a metal displacement reaction, in this case the formation of pure silver due to the reduction of silver ions when exposed to a metallic zinc coil. This was the precursor to the students carrying out their own metal displacement reaction as part of their study of oxidation and reduction. These principles are the basis for batteries and photography.
Chemistry with Chupa Chups
Watch this video of USC Year 11 Chemistry students conducting an experiment that shows how glucose in the Chupa Chups reacts with potassium permanganate. This adds electrons from the glucose to the manganese metal in the permanganate, which changes the colour.
USC 20 Year Anniversary Celebration
The USC 20 Year Anniversary Cocktail celebration was held on Friday 16 September at the National Wine Centre.
Year 11 Legal Studies students celebrate
USC Year 11 Legal Studies students enjoyed lunch and amazing views at our Gawler Place campus to celebrate back-to-back Grand Final victories in the Law Society’s Mock Trial Competition. Coach and legal practitioner, Barnaby Grant, joined them.
