SA Student Representative Council Summit
In May, more than 150 students from across South Australia came together for the first ever South Australian Student Representative Council (SA SRC) Summit. The SA SRC is led by the Commissioner for Children and Young People. The Foundation for Young Australians aims to elevate student voices and address key problems they face in South Australia. USC Year 12 student Anjali Beames applied and was selected to be part of the SA SRC. This group is now focusing on a campaign about student voice that is strategizing ways in which young people can be informed and included in influencing social change. At the SA SRC summit, Anjali had the opportunity to meet and talk with Lucy Hood, the MP for Adelaide, about ways to improve the CBD for young people.
