Scoffed Cooking School

University Senior College Year 10 students recently went on excursions to Scoffed Cooking School and competed in a MasterChef-style cook-off against the other students in their mentor group. Students challenged themselves to develop their cooking skills and work as a team to produce various dishes, like sticky chicken noodles, chocolate mousse and risotto. Students really enjoyed the experience.

USC Visual Arts

USC Visual Arts students had the opportunity to develop an understanding of the very challenging, but fundamental skill of perspective in situ on North Terrace. The opportunity to draw some of the most stunning buildings in Adelaide is indeed a privilege and tested the students’ patience and skills.

University Senior College Year 10 Visual Arts students recently engaged in a Life Drawing workshop at CDW Studios. Led by instructor Duncan Li, they received guidance on enhancing their observational skills and refining their figure drawing techniques. What an amazing experience!
West Beach Adventure Park

USC Year 10 students enjoyed a trip to West Beach Adventure Park and West Beach mini golf to start off the first few weeks at USC.

DNA and Protein

USC Stage 2 Biology activity during the DNA and Protein lecture earlier this week of students demonstrating the folding of a simple polypeptide chain. Students began as a simple linear sequence of amino acids and began forming hydrogen bonds causing them to begin to fold as seen in the images.
Biology Osmosis Practical

USC Year 11 Biology students in the osmosis practical, explored the concept of osmosis by investigating the movement of water molecules across a semipermeable membrane.
