Exclusive tour of Fusetec

Students on excursion

As a part of the University Senior College STEM Community Connections and Partnerships initiative, students with a keen interest in pursuing medicine, health, and bioengineering had the unique opportunity to take part in an exclusive tour of Fusetec, the world's pioneering cadaver-free surgical training environment. Fusetec's CEO, Mark Roe, served as our guide, leading us through an extensive array of medical devices that ranged from lifelike muscles to fat tissues. The trip left a positive mark, broadening their understanding of surgical technology and the dedication of surgeons, while also providing insight into the promising future of biomedical technology in healthcare. Students appreciated the hands-on chance to experience the remarkable life-sized models through sight, touch, and interaction.
