USCOSA Year 12 Mentoring Session
University Senior College Old Scholars joined in on a Year 12 Mentoring session to provide our students with tips on exam preparation, time management and points on how to prepare for University. This is another great way University Senior College is preparing their students to be ready for University.
BFriend at Uniting Communities
University Senior College students visited Uniting Communities Franklin Street to learn more about the services Uniting Communities provide young people. Steve from BFriend at Uniting Communities informed the students about the range of support services available especially those for LGBTIQA+ community and their allies.

Dr Tessa Opie Parent Night
Our recent parent evening provided parents and caregivers current information about the Relationships and Sexuality Education Course USC students will engage in during 2022. Participants heard from Dr Tessa Opie, an educator and founder of Inyourskin. Tessa outlined the importance of relationships and sexuality education and its role in improving sexual and mental health outcomes for young people. Inyourskin's approach is sex positive, evidence-based and harm reduction focused.
The Governor’s Civics Awards for Schools
The Governor’s Civics Awards for Schools helps to develop student awareness and skills as active and informed citizens in a democratic society.
USC Student's attend Lowitja O'Donoghue Oration
USC Year 11 and 12 Students, Anika, Qezia, Tabitha, Anjali and Azul attended the Lowitja O'Donoghue Oration on Tuesday 31st May. This year’s oration entitled; ‘The Way Forward – Informed by the past’ was delivered by the new Minister for Indigenous Australians, Hon Linda Burney. The Oration honours the influential Aboriginal leader, Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue AC CBE DSG and gives voice to vital issues for our nation’s first people.
