The Girl who was a Hundred Girls
Year 12 Drama performed Finnegan Kruckemeyer’s “The Girl who was a Hundred Girls” as their group production in Week 7, Term 2.
Year 11 Drama - Queens
University Senior College Year 11 Drama presented "Queens" by Kristen Doherty at the end of Term 3. This play tells the story of King Henry VIII, trapped in purgatory by the women he wronged, and forced to face his choices in life. Our production incorporated storytelling, physical theatre, song, and movement to engage an appreciative audience over two nights. Well done to the cast and crew.
Our Town - Year 12 Drama Production 2023
This year’s Year 12 Drama Production, “Our Town” was another great success. Performed at the Little Theatre on the University campus.
USC Drama
Year 12 Drama, as part of their studies of professional devised theatre, attended “Something in the Water” as part of the Adelaide Fringe. This personally inspired absurdist piece presents the issue of Gender Diversity in a hilarious yet thought provoking parable, created by Scantily Glad, an independent Canadian theatre company. Our students were also able to participate in a devising workshop with the creator of the show, Grumms, which explored their creative process, and how our students can devise theatre to challenge and change.
Year 11 Drama - Roses of Eyam
USC Year 11 Drama performed Don Taylor’s Roses of Eyam in November. This play, about a village in Derbyshire which quarantined itself to stop the spread of the plague in 1666-67, held special resonance in 2022. The cast and designers worked hard for a striking, dramatic, and poignant result.
Year 11 Drama Production "House on Fire"
The Year 11 Drama class performed Debra Oswald’s House on Fire in the University of Adelaide’s Little Theatre.
