Exploring the Science of “Forever Chemicals” at Waite Campus

Recently, USC students had the exclusive opportunity to tour the University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus, where they explored cutting-edge research on PFAS contamination; often called “forever chemicals.”

From learning how PFAS moves through the environment, to exploring water treatment technologies, and discovering how plants can help reduce contamination in crops, students listened to a professor’s talk, engaged with PhD researchers, and saw state-of-the-art laboratories in action.

Thank you to the students and staff who participated, and to the research team (Dr. Shervin Kabiri) for sharing their expertise and passion for solving global environmental challenges. This hands-on learning experience was truly inspiring!
