Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Steiner Centre
As part of our WWII topic, University Senior College Year 10 History classes visited the Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Steiner Centre. Students explored a wide variety of primary and secondary source material on the Holocaust, and also spoke with Andrew Steiner (OM) who is a Holocaust survivor living here in Adelaide. Andrew shared his war-time experiences, and he also talked about his belief in hope in the face of hatred and adversity. It was an invaluable experience. Students were able to use the sources and information they gathered to complete their Holocaust Empathy Task, in which they needed to explore the Holocaust from a variety of perspectives.
