Student Spotlight: Alyssa Emmerson

Congratulations to Year 11 student Alyssa Emmerson, who was awarded the Commendation of Excellence for her outstanding work! Alyssa was recognised for her outstanding participation in the Virtual War Memorial Australia (VWMA) School Program and her valuable contribution to commemorating Australia’s servicemen and women

In 2024, Alyssa entered the Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Memorial Prize and conducted significant research into her chosen Australian war veteran, Horace Hill. The VWMA selected students based on the depth and detail of their research and their contribution to the VWMA website.
