Mock Trial Competition Grand Final Winners 2023

For the third year in a row, University Senior College won the Law Society Mock Trial Grand Final, held at the District Court on the evening of 12th September. The trial was judged by the Hon Justice Timothy Stanley who oversaw the Wills/Probate matter of Alwyn v Marrin. Mercedes College acted as the Applicant seeking Probate for an alleged last will and testament, and University Senior College acted for the Respondent challenging the purported will.

Anvika Navneet, a Year 11 student from University Senior College was afforded the award for ‘Best Barrister’ of the evening, resulting in an internship with Justice Stanley. Congratulations to all the Year 11 Legal Studies students who were integral to their commendable success in this year’s Mock Trial competition, further sharpening their advocacy skills in this exceptional legal advocacy exercise.
