University Senior College Scholarship Fund
The University Senior College Scholarship Fund (“Scholarship Fund”) was launched in June 2010. This important initiative will greatly affect the direction of the College and future learning opportunities at USC. Your involvement is crucial and will make a difference.
The Scholarship Fund was established to raise and invest funds to provide financial support, by way of tuition fee scholarships, to deserving students. Once the funds have been raised, scholarships to offset the cost of tuition fees will be available for Year 11 and Year 12 study at USC in a full time learning program leading to entry to the University of Adelaide via our unique Partner's Pathway.
The Scholarship Fund will target deserving students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Strong consideration will be given to those applicants who reside in an area with a low Socio-Economic Index of Relative Disadvantage (SEIFA). Scholarships will also be awarded on academic merit.
The Scholarship Fund invites contributions from all members of the School community, alumni, their families and other interested individuals and organisations. The Scholarship Fund has been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient (Item 2.1.13 scholarship fund, Section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997). All donations to the Scholarship Fund in excess of $2.00 are tax deductible and all income will be directed to providing scholarships to eligible recipients.
I commend this initiative to you and hope that you choose to donate to the Scholarship Fund. Your support is critical and will help provide funds to enable individual students to benefit from our learning pathway and enter the University of Adelaide.
